A taste of Halloween

I totally loved the mood board inspiration for October from Gauche Alchemy, it's up here if you want to play along (and I think you should). I could have gone a dozen different ways with it but chose to do a page using creepy photos I have been taking for years because I am just drawn to creepy, it's in my blood (lol) and this page explains why I suppose.

There are some close-ups and a little back story here if you want more :-)

Not my colour, but.....

It's FRIDAY!!!!
Yay!
I'm pencilling in some me time to get messy today but before I do I just wanted to share my page for the Gauche Alchemy blog last month.
Purple is not a go-to colour for me so I was pleasantly
surprised at how well this worked.

I spread some clear crackle on my background first and then went to town with Tattered Angels purple and Maya Rd green mists. Combined with the cool doodads from a Gauche Alchemy Purple People Eater mixed media color kit and some flower punchinella it came together really well.
You can see some more detail here in the close-ups.

Hope you have a crafty weekend

Halloween Grunge

Last year the kids had a Halloween Social at school
and Ed wanted to be a Zombie.
The pics were awesome with him in costume and make-up thanks to
his wonderful (and skilled) big sister Ruby.
This is the page I did for the most recent issue of The Paper Haus e-zine,
you should pop over and check it out if you haven't already,
it is chock-full of stunning work!

I'm linking this up at Paper Issues for their Halloween theme
so head over there if you want oodles of inspiration.

Thanks so much for dropping by
