Sitting Beside Inspiration

Back in June I went to an art camp at Lake Keepit with a bunch of fabulous ladies. I had the good fortune to be seated next to one of my big-time scrappy crushes and a huge inspiration art-wise. Lisa Oxley lives in full colour and her art is straight from her creative and generous soul.
This page was inspired by her style

I used a TCW stencil and texture paste for the starbursts, Dylusions ink sprays, Tim Holtz stamps, tissue paper, and the lightbulb stencil from UmWow with black ink.

And this page I kept pretty simple to let the awesome photo, taken by Lisa, shine.

Again with the texture paste, this time I used a 12x12 chipboard frame, plus Dylusions ink spray, heart punchinella as a mask with Tim Holtz distress paint, a little bit of bling and some ink.

My newest pages, from Camp Mojo, are still on the camera.
I'm hoping it won't take too long to share some with you but at the moment I'd rather create than compute.
That's a good thing, right?!

Home on the range

Word up #69, 'Home' is the current challenge at One Little Word.
Here's my page, head on over and checkout the inspo.

I used a 12"x 8" photo cut into 2 pieces, top and bottom, to get a panorama feel.
A couple of Gauche Alchemy supplies (punchinella, ouchless cardboard), some old
Pink Paislee chippy letters, Dymo, twine, Maya Rd chippy houses and some doodads.

Thank you so much for dropping by

SWAT with texture

Are you going to play at Sketches with a Twist this month?
It's a gorgeous sketch designed by Julianne McKenna-De Lumen
and the twist is 'texture paste'

This is my page, I flipped and turned the sketch.
The chevron is done with texture paste and a TCW stencil
then misted while still wet. For the splats I used Tim Holtz
distress stain -tarnished brass, it's awesome!
The picture I took when I was in Darwin last year
my first sunset over the ocean, so beautiful!
So come along and play with us,
check out the blog for some DT inspiration.
Yours in scrappiness
