It's been a Challenge! - D-lish #1

Please excuse me for binge posting.
I decided to play along with the D-lish 5th Birthday Bonanza Cybercrop which ends tomorrow at midnight.
It's been a tough challenge, doing 8 pages in a week during school holidays, the worst part is trying to get computer time to upload all the pics. Wrestling the kids away from their games only to abandon them without company, I find that difficult so I spend daytime with them, scrap at night and the pages don't make it onto the 'puter until the last minute.  But here we are and I have managed to do all 8 pages and some. I will be posting each separately for ease of linkage, hence the apology at the start :-)
Here is the first

From this challenge

I used Tarrah's layout as a sketch, also keeping with the neutral colour scheme and chevron pattern.

Feeling Sketchy

UmWow has the best sketches!
I love the fabulous one up for June so I had to play along again.
Here is my page using the Light Bulb Mask (a personal fave!), A heart from the Confetti pack, and a circle from the Layered pack.
I also used some Nature Walk patterned paper and Gauche Alchemy sequins.
Alpha is from American Crafts, gold paint from Kaisercraft.

and this is the sketch...

It's an easy one, but so gorgeous!

Love is in the Air

I recently won a lovely prize from 7 Dots Studio,
a pack of their new range called 'Love is in the Air',
full of soft pastels with a hint of distressed type patterns.
I'm not much of a pastel gal but this is really pretty!
Here are the two pages I have done so far...
Both things I love, in honour of Valentine's Day today :-)

The background on the next page was done with a TCW template
and a mix of leftover light brown/yellow mists.
When my mists are getting too low to spray properly
I pour them into each other and mix similar colours,
it makes them go that little bit further.

You can keep up with new releases and what people are doing with their papers

Thanks so much for dropping by.
Yours in Scrappiness
