365 Sketch

A sketch can really shorten the time I spend on a page,
which is important in school holidays when scrap time is at a premium.
I really liked this one from Scrap365 because it had
space for my 2 pics and a journal block.

I started with a pre-made background and used things I had
lying around on my desk from previous projects, so this
actually helped me clean up too :-)
The whole page took about 20 mins and was completed
while I was waiting for the family to get in the car.

Grungy Girly

Playing with this sketch from the January Scrap The Girls challenge

Here is my page....

I used Prima papers which I got in a beautiful prize pack from Blitsy
and some other stuff I had lying around.
I didn't have any pics from the actual event,
the girl-child doesn't think of them in the excitement. But I did
take some when she got home covered in mud and I also managed to acquire
the metal key that she found in the mud at the event and her ticket, so all up
it is a page full of memories for her.

Stamping Play

A couple more layouts with a similar background. I love this effect.
What I did was spread out a whole lot of orange paint on my craft mat,
pressed a plastic mango tray liner into it, then placed that on top of my white cardstock and stood on it to get a good stamp. Three times :-)

And because it's school holidays, the weather has been stinking hot
and the kids are all tired, not much time has been managed in my art room
so these pages are quick and simple.

Ed bought this with pocket money and it's now his absolute favourite T.
(The narwhals have lightsaber horns).

And this one is for White With 1 - Tangerine,
using some fabulous Scrapmatts (cogs & word).

I have kept the plastic mango tray for more future play :-)

Boy Ninja

This is the challenge over at 123 for January

And this is my page

There's not a lot to it, a painty background, the top strip off a piece of black craft paper torn from a cheap pad, a polaroid frame from KI Memories, a gorgeous hand-carved stamp by Lou Nelson along with a matching chippy from Imaginarium Designs, some ink, dymo, correction tape and hand journalling.
It's on bright white card but I can't get rid of the blue cast, soz.

I made several of these backgrounds so there will be some more to come :-)

Getting back on the wagon slowly...

Having a play with the Inspiration Board from Scrapbook Creations
2014-01_Jan
I went with the moody greys and a splash of colour.

The mask is from Clear Scraps, checker plate stamp from Kaisercraft,
and Dylusions spray inks.
