Merry Christmas to all.....

Christmas is hard for me. A time when I remember all the people I would be sending cards to or calling but they are no longer alive. I struggle with the day-to-day festive stuff and go through the motions for the kids but I feel such a sense of loss at this time of year..... so it's hard.

I am trying to take Ngaire's message to heart, (thanks Ngai for the constant reminders of the beauty and blessings in life!) and be more appreciative of what I have right here.

Happy Christmas to all who drop by, I hope it's a warm and loving time for you.

Busy weekend scrapping

I have been in a crap mood too much lately, hormonal stuff I think, so this weekend I planned lots of time out for my family to give them a break from me! The up-side of which is lots of scrapping time, and although I felt like each page took way too long, I am reaching the end of the weekend relatively pleased with my achievements. There are a couple of pages for the Scrap Therapy CC, the AED gallery, one for Aussie Scrapjack, and one ... justacoz. And it's still only lunchtime sunday!

and a LO of mine from the latest For Keeps mag. I was pretty happy with this, it scored front page of the gallery on its own and looked great on the green background they used. It was also refreshing that the colour looked right, so many of my LOs in the other mags look washed out.

My LO's for FK awards for Excellence and the Elite Team came back today, thought I might get a look-in this year but no such luck................so here they are, enjoy

A few pages for AED

AED had a CC this weekend, so armed with a box of their beautiful new Xmas range, I made these

Ahh.... feels so good to scrap again!

I pre-made an A4 album for our trip and scrapped it on the way around so now I can settle in and do big pages with my favourite photos and not feel pressured. It was a great idea (not mine!) and I will definitely be doing that for any further trips we do.

OK, the b&w LO was for the Scrap Therapy 'Scrappin' with the Stars challenge, check it out and join in it's going to be lots of fun and very inspiring.

I also got a lovely box chock full of fantastic new AED Xmas stuff (including chipboard shapes and glitter!) yesterday, so will be playing with that all weekend (the top LO is just a simple start) and we are also Cyber-cropping there tonight.

I might also try to finish the 3rd LO for Nic Howard's "That's Life" challenge at Scrapboxx.

I have been flat out lately, had a great time at a brilliant retreat with the Scrapapple girls last weekend, and headed off to Tassie for 3 weeks with the whole family day after tomorrow. I will post some more LOs when I get back.

Well, I had to put a lot of thought into what 'fantasy' meant to me, DH is a dragon (in chinese horoscope), fairies..everyone would do that, my fantasy.... been pondering all of it for over a week....... so here's what I finally came up with. I used dimensional magic and glitter on a photograph of my shoes. And have been playing with a whole bunch of colours I would not normally use but got in a gorgeous prize pack from Fireside Crafts (thank-you!!)
