Online Charity Art Auction - My Piece

Hello Arty Peeps!

Just wanted to let you know about an online Art Auction to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House, Tamworth. They do such worthy work for regional families and can use every penny they can get.
It's being run by the organisers of the Uralla Retreat, Sam Skinner & Katie Frost.

There are lots of different items including this piece from me.
It's approximately A4 size and will fit the cover of a large Ranger Art Journal,
or could be easily framed for your art room.

I made this with stencils from Kinder Kreations, Archival Inks from Ranger, and a variety of stamps from Prima, Cocoa Vanilla Studios, and Kaisercraft.

We'd be super pleased if you checked it out, the auction runs through to June 10th, 5pm Sydney (Australia) time.

Happy bidding!

Uralla Shenanigans

Hellooo Arty peeps!

What a brilliant weekend we had in Uralla.
I love these gals so much!
We arted and laughed, ate, drank, talked, and laughed some more.
A powerful good time was had and lots of not-so-flattering photos captured.

One of the things I created was this work
which will be in the online charity auction, coming soon.
I used new Kinder Kreations stencils with Ranger Archival inks
and at A4 size it will fit the front cover of many art journals,
or could be framed for your creative space.

On Saturday night Lisa kept me company while I took some tripod shots of Uralla main street. Fortunately, there were fewer trucks than the previous night so I got a shot looking south from the middle of the highway.
It's not as clear as I would like but playing with settings in the middle of the road here was much riskier than Gundagai, where I last did this.

I got a nice shot of the Bottom Pub too.

We also stopped for some pics with the autumn leaves on the verandah
at the Top Pub, where we were staying.

 Good fun!

I'm still playing along with my inks and #the 100dayproject,
you can follow my progress on Instagram and Facebook.

Thanks for coming by

Yay! Retreat Time!

Hi All!

to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House in Tamworth, such a worthy cause.

Peta from Scrapbooking From Scratch is bringing the shop so
if you are in the vicinity, send her a message and drop in for a sqizz.
Come to the Uralla Community Hall to check out what we are doing.

Lots of art and scrapbooking (including classes) will be happening
so I'll have something fresh to share with you next week.

Woot!

I'm Back, and into Art Journaling!

Hello all you Lovelies out in Blogland!

I have been absent from this little corner for way too long.
Busy over at Scrapping Clearly for the last couple of years and no time
left for 'Playtime' pursuits, but things are going to change now.

I have been slowing up in the scrapbooking arena, the kids are getting older, moving on with their own lives. I have fewer photos and stories to tell but
I still need a creative outlet for sanity's sake. I still want to hang with my arty
gals and make pretty things so I have been making the move into art journalling in an effort to discover my new thing.

Inspired and encouraged by my buddy Lisa, I have been challenging myself to do #the100dayproject
I am discovering the joys of ink pads.
Layering colours and patterns using stencils and stamps.
My favourites are Ranger Archival ink pads and Kinder Kreations stencils and foam stamps (cannot wait for these to be widely available!).

I am finding a Traveler's Notebook the perfect size right now.
Here are some I have shared on Instagram over the last few weeks.
They look a little washed out, I will have to start photographing them with my DSLR instead of my phone.

I'm excited to be back here and looking forward to having my own little space to share again.

Thanks so much for dropping by,
leave me a wave in the comments so I can check out what you're up to as well.

Happy New Year!

Hi There Arty Peeps!
Welcome to 2018, and a whole new year to get creative.

Sharing today, a junk journal made when I was teaching with Lisa at the amazing and super-fun Scrapping Clearly Gundy Scraptacular back in November last year.
This little album was one of Lisa's classes.

The cover is a piece of cardstock given a leatherette finish.
I have coloured it up with Dylusions ink sprays over BoBunny glitter paste.

This is the first page

I posted the rest of the pages over here on the Scrapping Clearly blog.
Head on over and check them out.
This was such a fun project, full of fantastic memories of Gundagai,
and hanging out with one of my absolute favourite peeps.

We went for a night time stroll up the mainy

and sat on the shop stoop while Jason took our picture

It was a great weekend hanging out with Kylie too

Definitely, an experience to be repeated!

So here's hoping 2018 is a good one,
