123 Just in time!

Gotta love getting a challenge done AND uploaded just in the nick of time.
This one was my afternoons effort, amazing that it got finished since it was one of those times.... Every mist bottle I picked up became blocked, everything got spilled, and I now have black all over my favourite pink cardi... yep...
So was it worth it?
You be the judge.
It's for the 123 Challenge blog

Home-made stencil on the cheap

If you've read my article in the latest Australian Scrapbooking Memories magazine
you will recognise the stencil I have used on this page.
It's hand-cut (using a craft knife) from a muesli bar box that I salvaged out of the recycling.
It is only simple but I love it. On this page I laid it down and stamped black paint on bubble wrap through it, after I had coloured the white cardstock with some mists of course :-)
The divine crochet was made by Becci Sundberg from Lime Tree Creations
(she is making larger items these days, her work is superb quality!)
and I also added a square paper doily, foam alpha stickers covered with Tattered Angels Chandelier Glimmer Glam, Dymo journalling, and a few pearl brads from who knows where.

Soundwave Sydney

Back a few months ago my teen girl went to her first major city concert with a girlfriend, my heart was in my throat all weekend (until she got home).
She took no photos.
So I was left with the scrapbooker's task of
documenting a significant event without the aid of pictures.
Google was my best friend for this project.
I printed out a band list and then found thumbnail pics
of all the bands that she saw. I used a fairly recent pic of the girls,
and embellished with lace, washi tape and punchinella from
Gauche Alchemy (the corrugated cardboard is theirs too).

I love how it turned out!

Sign of The Times

One Little Word is always inspiring for me. I don't always get them up in time but over the years my OLW pages have been some of my absolute faves.
They take me places I might not otherwise have gone, all thanks to a single word.
This time it was 'surround'

I used an Instagram pic from my phone, some washi tape, a piece of ribbon,
some chippy circles and bling strips. Old Basic Grey alpha
for the title and a TCW template with inkpads for the background.

Projects That WOW!

Welcome to the Blog Hop

Jennifer Grace is asking you.....

What makes you pause and look closer at a scrapbook page when you are flicking through your own albums or looking at other people's layouts in magazines?

Which cards jump out at you from Pinterest or from envelopes
when you open them?

What details of paper-crafted home decor
or jewellery make you stop and say "wow!"?

It's time to learn some of these techniques and styles and put them to use!
'Projects that WOW!' is about making your projects stand out from the crowd.

To enter the giveaway for one of three class spots (worth £10 each)
you just need to comment anywhere on the 'Projects that WOW!' blog hop
by 11.59pm BST Thursday 6th June.
EACH COMMENT on EACH BLOG in the hop counts
as an EXTRA ENTRY into the draw.
The winners will be announced at Jennifer Grace Creates
on Friday 6th June. If you've already purchased a class place and you win,
the class price will be refunded to you. So don't wait to sign up!

I am a class contributor and here is a sneaky peek at my project.
I have a set of go-to colour combos that I find always work for me,
Do you? What are they?

A Little Bit About Me
I live in a country town in NSW, Australia. The region is called 'New England'
because of the beautiful seasonal climate. I share my home with Hubby, 4 kids,
a dog, chickens, goldfish, and far too many wheeled contraptions! With nearly 2 acres only 20 mins walk to the centre of town it is a little piece of heaven on earth.

I have been scrapbooking (modern-style) since Jan. 2001 and have a passion for grunge and mess. My style varies from plain and simple/graphic to elaborately embellished and everything in between. I don’t pre-plan my pages and rarely know what my finished page will look like when I start. I love to play with techniques and often sew, paint, ink and mist on my pages. Follow the Resume tab at the top of the page to see where you can find my work.

For details and information about the class, or if you have any questions,
just email Jennifer at: jennifergrace@hotmail.co.uk

Next stop on the Hop
Ashley Calder
Have Fun and be sure to sign up for the class!
