The Scrappery

Is a new kit club started by two gorgeous and creative young Aussie gals with a great eye for colour and design, Kayla & Renae.
They release several kits each month with different styles and themes (that also colour co-ordinate really well) so there is something for everyone.
Check out the blog or FB page to see what's happening.

There were 3 challenges at The Scrappery Peek Party this month, all of which I managed to complete at the last minute, nothing like a deadline to get me going, here they are in reverse order.

Third, make a pocket 'insert' for your album. Now I think I got this a little wrong because I did a whole 12x12 pocket page to 'insert' into my album. I rarely do pocket pages so in my album it is quite different.

Hawt car!!

Second was a sketch

and my page
That kraft card is a brand called A La Carte, from Lincraft, and is quite yellow.

First was not my usual thing (pastels)

but I had lots of fun playing around with an unfamiliar colour palette (and a really old photo!) and came up with this

The Scrappery has a Peek Party with challenges on FB every month with points as prizes that you can put towards a kit.
Come along and play next month, you'll get some gorgeous pages done, meet some new friends, and maybe win a prize.
Fun!

Grungy Girly

Playing with this sketch from the January Scrap The Girls challenge

Here is my page....

I used Prima papers which I got in a beautiful prize pack from Blitsy
and some other stuff I had lying around.
I didn't have any pics from the actual event,
the girl-child doesn't think of them in the excitement. But I did
take some when she got home covered in mud and I also managed to acquire
the metal key that she found in the mud at the event and her ticket, so all up
it is a page full of memories for her.

Paper Haus Summer Inspiration

WELCOME!!
(There's a reward if you stick with me 'til the end of this post ;-)

Thanks so much for coming along to The Paper Haus Blog Hop
to celebrate the beginning of Summer and our brand new issue.

There will be a new line-up of inspiration every single day
for a whole month on The Paper House Blog,
so set aside a little time each day to check in,
you won't be disappointed.

Our new issue has SO much inspiration.
Lots of techniques, projects, and exclusive artist interviews inside.
It’s an issue filled with amazing Mixed Media projects
from Creatives all over the world.
We hope you enjoy flipping through the pages
as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you.
Below is the link to the summer issue,
simply click on the cover to go there now.
BUT Come back to the hop as we want to show you
some amazing Summer projects.

Welcome back!

Now for some bright Summery inspiration
here is a page I did using the divine 'Color Me Happy'
recent range from Glitz Designs.

Well here we are at the end of the post and, as promised,
I have a little reward. I will post this pack anywhere in the world
to a random commenter to be chosen,
at the completion of all the hops,
on June 7, 9pm PST.
It contains 2 x patterned paper packs with 12 sheets each, a 12 x 12 die-cut pack with 2 sheets, alpha rub-ons, birthday rub-ons (all from Stampin'Up), a twin pack of Maya Mists in Pink Lemonade and Iridescent Pearl, a six pack of Manor House flowers and a three pack of hand made paper flowers from my lovely friend Lisa Walsh at Little Picket Fence.

Here is the hop list so you can check us all out.

Love is in the Air

I recently won a lovely prize from 7 Dots Studio,
a pack of their new range called 'Love is in the Air',
full of soft pastels with a hint of distressed type patterns.
I'm not much of a pastel gal but this is really pretty!
Here are the two pages I have done so far...
Both things I love, in honour of Valentine's Day today :-)

The background on the next page was done with a TCW template
and a mix of leftover light brown/yellow mists.
When my mists are getting too low to spray properly
I pour them into each other and mix similar colours,
it makes them go that little bit further.

You can keep up with new releases and what people are doing with their papers

Thanks so much for dropping by.
